Rules of Conduct During Temporary Disability
Temporary disability leave is granted when a person is temporarily unable to work due to illness, injury, or a medical condition and requires treatment and medical care. The period of disability leave is intended for recovery, so it is important to follow the doctor’s recommendations and the prescribed treatment regimen.
While on sick leave, you must:
- Follow the treatment and/or care regimen prescribed by your doctor.
- Perform all prescribed medical, diagnostic, and/or nursing procedures.
- Please arrive on time for your doctor’s appointments and meetings of the Medical Advisory Board (GKK).
- Take care of your health and avoid activities that might hinder your recovery.
A violation of the rules of conduct occurs when a person:
- Fails to attend the GKK meeting at the scheduled time.
- Does not follow the treatment and/or care regimen prescribed by the doctor.
- Fails to perform the prescribed medical, diagnostic, and/or nursing procedures.
- He comes to the doctor while intoxicated or under the influence of psychoactive substances.
- They work, study in person, travel, and participate in cultural, sporting, entertainment, or other events.
- Uses alcohol, narcotics, toxic substances, or psychotropic substances.
- His conduct was such that his actions could have prolonged or did prolong the duration of his temporary disability.
- Fails to care for a sick family member or supervise a child when a sick leave certificate has been issued for that purpose, or acts in a manner that could have prolonged the period of care or supervision.
Important to know
If violations of the rules of conduct are identified without valid justification, the doctor will note the violation on the sick leave certificate. This affects the granting or payment of sick leave benefits.
