September 15 – World Lymphoma Day
This day is dedicated to raising public awareness about lymphoma, encouraging people to pay attention to possible symptoms of the disease, and promoting early diagnosis and timely treatment.
Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system that can occur at any age. The disease can progress in various ways, so it is important to pay attention to any persistent or unexplained changes in your health.
What symptoms should you look out for?
- swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, or groin;
- a prolonged fever;
- excessive sweating at night;
- unexplained weight loss;
- constant fatigue and weakness;
- Itching with no apparent cause.
It's important to know that these symptoms do not necessarily indicate lymphoma, but if they persist or cause concern, it's a good idea to consult your family doctor.
The sooner we notice changes, the sooner we can determine their cause and begin treatment if necessary.
More knowledge means more opportunities to take care of your health.
