Free physical activity sessions for expectant mothers

As part of the project "Promoting a Healthy Start in Life", funded by the Kėdainiai District Municipality, we invite you to take part in the free physical activity exercise "Exercise for Pregnant Women" once a week, starting from 23 September. In a safe, calm and comfortable environment, under the supervision of professional physiotherapist Santa Vareikienė, you will be able to strengthen your body with gentle exercises, relieve tension and prepare for childbirth.

Regular physical activity during pregnancy:

  • Improves physical well-being and helps prevent health problems.
  • Relieves back and pelvic pain, improves posture.
  • Improves sleep and emotional health.
  • Helps control weight gain during pregnancy.
  • Reduces the risk of complications in childbirth.
  • It can help ease the labour process and speed up postnatal recovery.

Physical activity during pregnancy has a positive effect on the foetus:

  • It improves placental blood flow, so that the foetus receives more oxygen and nutrients for its growth and development.
  • Babies of active pregnant women often have a normal birth weight, better neurodevelopment and a lower risk of metabolic disorders in the future.
  • It is one of the simplest and most effective ways to strengthen the foundations of your baby's health before birth.

Join safe prenatal exercise today - take care of yourself and your baby responsibly!

Physical activity classes are led by Santa Vareikienė, a kinesiotherapist and therapeutic massage specialist. She is constantly improving her knowledge and skills on topics relevant in Lithuania and abroad: aspects of infant motor development and kinesiotherapy, testing and correction of muscle and muscle chains, dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation, manual therapy, etc. S. Vareikienė is a therapeutic massage therapist at MB "Tavo kineziterapeutė" and uses her expertise, knowledge and practical skills as a senior therapeutic physical education teacher at Kėdainiai "Spindulis" School.
